# AI Transformation Office Mandate Worksheet

Use this to define what a central team owns, what line leaders own and how delivery capability will transfer. Revised 2 October 2026.

## Authority

- Business outcome and accountable line owner:
- Decisions delegated to the central team:
- Decisions retained by business leaders:
- Security, data, procurement and legal approvals required:
- Escalation route and response time:

Delegated authority should be explicit. A faster route through the necessary controls is different from permission to bypass them.

## Shared work

- Platform services and standards that several teams need:
- Scarce specialist skills to provide centrally:
- Support, incident response and vendor responsibilities:
- Reusable delivery patterns and their maintenance owners:

## Transfer conditions

- Business owners who will receive delivery responsibility:
- Skills, budget, access and support they need:
- Evidence that the receiving team can operate the workflow:
- Work that should remain shared:
- Review date and authority to extend, narrow or close the office:

Set transfer conditions before choosing a dissolution date. Keep the central work that has a continuing purpose and remove work that duplicates the line.

## Review

Compare completed workflow outcomes with their baseline, including quality, delay, review effort and operating costs. Record unresolved dependencies and the next decision each requires. Counts of pilots, training sessions and presentations do not demonstrate that ownership has transferred.
